Our Customer’s Feedback

Is water damage covered by insurance?

Often — if it’s sudden and accidental.
Examples like burst pipes, drain failures, or appliance leaks are commonly covered. Long-term leaks, neglect, or wear-and-tear usually aren’t. Coverage depends on your policy language, not opinions — and we help you read it clearly.

Will mold automatically mean my claim is denied?

No. Mold caused by a covered water loss may be covered even if mold itself is limited. The key question is what caused the moisture, not whether mold is present.

How fast do I need to act after water damage?

Immediately. Mold can begin developing in 24–48 hours. The longer moisture remains, the worse the damage — and the harder insurance is to work with later.

What does mitigation actually include?

Water removal, drying, moisture mapping, material removal if needed, and documentation. It’s not just fans — it’s controlled structure drying designed to stop secondary damage.

How long does the process take?
  • Drying: 3–5 days (typical)

  • Mold remediation: 1–5 days (depends on size)

  • Rebuild: Depends on scope and materials

We give timelines upfront and update you as conditions change.

Am I responsible for payment even if insurance is involved?

Yes — your policy is a reimbursement contract, not a maintenance agreement.
Insurance may pay you back, but you hired the contractor. We help you file and support the claim, but the contract remains with you.

Can I choose my own restoration company?

Always. You are never required to use the insurance company’s “preferred” vendor. That list serves their cost goals, not necessarily your home.

What if insurance disagrees with your scope?

It happens. We document moisture, damage, and industry standards so decisions stay based on facts, not opinions. Final coverage decisions are theirs — but data always beats denial language.

Is all mold dangerous?

No. Not all mold is toxic. But any indoor growth means moisture is present, which is a real building problem whether the mold is “black” or green.

How do I avoid getting ripped off?

Choose companies that:

  • Explain instead of scare

  • Measure instead of guess

  • Put timelines and scope in writing

  • Encourage second opinions

  • Educate, not pressure

A good contractor never hides behind urgency.
